Lippincott Nursing Symposium will be held May 7 & 8, 2015 at the Philadelphia Downtown Marriott in Philadelphia, PA. Sponsored by Wolters Kluwer Health, publisher of award winning journals including American Journal of Nursing, Nursing2015, JONA, Nursing Critical Care, to name a few... , the Symposium will offer you educational sessions that will elevate your nursing practice, inspire transformation, promote innovation and energize you to thrive professionally.  

The planning committee has created a program specifically to meet the needs of nurses in direct care positions. Expert faculty will present core nursing topics such as heart failure, trauma, pain management, diabetes, assessment skills, lab values, healthy work environments, leadership skills, and more.

Purpose

To offer practicing nurses an educational activity that enhances the cognitive and practical skills necessary to maintain proficiency in nursing practice and to improve the quality of patient care.

Objectives

After attending Lippincott Nursing Symposium, you'll be better able to:

  • Identify the newest therapies and guidelines for managing wounds, pain, asthma, diabetes mellitus, cardiovascular disease, IV therapy, and more.

  • Identify your own position, role, and plan of action during ethical, legal, or interpersonal conflicts in the workplace.

  • Demonstrate skills learned at workshops and discussions that will help enhance your clinical competency and decision-making ability.
